Information for new and current clients regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19)



Operations at the Delaware Courts have changed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (the coronavirus), but our office is still operational and accepting new clients. Please reach out at the below numbers  if you have been arrested and need a Public Defender.

  • (302) 856-5310 in Sussex County

The Office of Defense Services will have extended hours on Tuesdays until 8 p.m. to conduct telephone interviews for individuals who cannot reach the ODS during normal business hours. These will be conducted by a bilingual intake investigator so that interviews may be done in Spanish or English. This service is offered statewide for individuals with charges in any county. The interview must be scheduled in advance by calling (302) 752-3374.

Do not come to our office locations to request a public defender. Please call the numbers above and speak to the representative on the phone or leave a voicemail and someone will promptly return your call to schedule an intake interview over the phone. More information is available here.
